Meet Audrey Ansari. Audrey is our Campus Stores Foundation and Strategy Coordinator for IT. This means, she tells us, doing whatever it takes to help the Campus Stores Digital Innovation Team successfully integrate technology into the University and community.
We think Audrey’s pretty cool. She’s enthusiastic, unassuming, and full of great ideas. She’s the type of person you should invite to your next brainstorming session. Here she shares her love of music, the decade in which she feels she most belongs, and her three ingredients for a perfect day…
Where did you go to school? I’m a Sooner! I graduated last year with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Communication.
What is the best thing about your hometown? There are so many great things about Norman. My family and friends are here, The University of Oklahoma is here, and I enjoy all the amazing things the university brings to the surrounding community.
Tell us about your favorite book, tv show, or movie. I like the X-files, Dr. Who, Criminal Minds, Game of Thrones, and Law and Order (any of them)! I love old movies, the Lord of the Rings, and the Hobbit. My favorite books are The Color Purple and The Voyages of Dr. Doolittle.
What type of music do you like to listen to? Do you have a favorite band or artist? I love all music. Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Bob Marley (pretty much any Bob) are favorites. It is impossible to pick just one!
Describe your perfect day. If you had a day off with no responsibilities how would you spend it? I would travel with my family and friends. I would sleep as much I wanted and eat delicious food and enjoy amazing people.
What is your favorite place to visit? I love visiting my family. And Colorado is awesome.
At happy hour I order: a Cape Cod or a good ol’ PBR!
What was your first computer? An Apple back in 1995.
How much time do you spend on your phone? Not too much. Maybe an hour or two.
I cannot live without my (phone, tablet, laptop): Phone. I need my music!
What is your favorite social media site (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)?
I don’t really have a favorite, but I use Facebook to keep in touch with my relatives who live out of state or out of the country.
Where would you go in a time machine? I would probably go back to the 60s. I’ve always felt I was born a few decades too late!
Dogs or Cats? I have a dog named Karma, and I love all animals!
What would we find in your fridge? Fresh veggies from the garden and fruit. Butter, pickles, and of course sweet tea.
What did you care about most at age 10? My family. And MTV!
Thanks so much Audrey!
