Meet Christina Foster. Christina is our Services Operations Lead who handles operational communication and change management for IT. This means she is responsible for coordinating and sending email updates to campus about service interruptions or issues that may affect a customer’s ability to use IT services.
We think Christina is one of the very best. She’s reliable, hard working, and collaborative. She truly wants to make things better and has great ideas for how we can accomplish that. You could say we’re pretty big fans of this one.
Here Christina shares her love of Southern California, the person she most looked up to as a kid, and her go-to destination for a fun family vacation.
Where did you go to school? I graduated from OU in 2004 from the College of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, but I was born and raised in Southern California.
What is the best thing about your hometown? Even though I grew up in the desert it only took about an hour to get to the beach or the snow depending on what you wanted to do that day.
Tell us about your favorite book, tv show, and or movie. I love Bill Lawrence. I’ll watch Scrubs and Cougar Town anytime I find them on.
What type of music do you like to listen to? Pretty much anything. My husband and I share an Amazon account so the mix can get pretty weird sometimes.
If you had a day off with no responsibilities how would you spend it? No questions, it would have to involve Disneyland or Disney World and the beach.
What is your favorite place to visit? California! The trip always includes Disney, San Diego and family.
At happy hour I order: some version of white wine.
What is your favorite app? Touchnote. With most of my family out of town it’s a great way to send pictures of my son. You can send personalized postcards straight from your phone to family and friends.
What was your first computer? A good old Commodore 64. I played many hours of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego on it.
How much time do you spend on your phone? Way too much! That’s the hazard of working with outages.
What is your favorite social media site? I stick with the old, trusty Facebook.
Where would you go in a time machine? Back to when the SR-71 was being developed. It’s an amazing aircraft, and they had to overcome some big engineering hurdles to make it.
Dogs or Cats? Dogs, but I’ve had a few great cats over the years.
What would we find in your fridge? Fruit, veggies, cheese, and lunchmeat. Always a staple in our household.
What did you care about most at age 10? Whatever my older sister was into.
Thanks so much Christina!
