Brett Clements

Meet Kevin Buck. Kevin is our Program Manager for Digital Spaces, which is the team responsible for system upgrades, support, and technical training for our enterprise learning applications like D2L, iClicker, and Qualtrics. Whew! This means he spends a lot of time working with faculty and students on how to use these tools and envisioning how they’ll be used in the future.

One of the great things about working with Kevin is his enthusiasm. He’s always full of ideas, and he’s passionate about IT’s role on campus and finding ways to improve the student experience and facilitate teaching and learning.

Today he shares his favorite tech-related things, his love of coffee creamer, and his favorite spot to visit in California.

Where did you go to school? OU! I graduated from the Information Studies program in 2011.

What is the best thing about your hometown? We make a lot of planes? I’m from Wichita, so I’m struggling on this one!

Do you have a favorite blog? Consider me a fan of nearly any technology-related blog. I love reading about all of the innovative changes, especially in the mobile space. Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time on

What type of music do you listen to? It depends on the day. I tend to listen to a little bit of everything, I love my 90s playlists. Typically, I am listening to pop or country.

Describe your perfect day. I’m headed to the beach! I’d spend the day relaxing in the sun and enjoying the water.

Where is your favorite place to visit? I love visiting California! It’s a place that never seems to get old and there’s always something new to see. The San Diego area is my favorite by far.

At Happy Hour I order: a gin & tonic.

What is your favorite app? I am loving the Sunrise calendar app. It helps keep me on track by tying together multiple calendars (OU & personal), to-do lists, Basecamp projects – all in one place.

What was your first computer? My first computer was a Compaq desktop. I thought it was so cool because it had a built-in holder for CDs and DVDs!

I can’t live without my: phone. It has my music, to-do’s, and navigation.

What is your favorite social media site? I prefer Twitter. It’s easy to find content and engage with other users.

What would we find in your fridge? Mostly coffee creamer. You can never have too many flavors!

What did you care most about when you were 10? Pretending I was a BMX rider and ramping my bike off of jumps with the other kids in our neighborhood.

Thanks Kevin!
