New IT Alerts Page

Brett Clements

New Year, New… Alerts Page? Too late? Fair enough. But we’re still pretty excited about our new OU IT Alerts page and wanted to share it with you! In addition to a sleek new design, the alerts page has some updated features to keep you in the know for all current and past outages. Here are a few of our favorite features:

  1. Email and text subscriptions. Now you can get up-to-date notifications straight to your inbox regarding the outages that matter most to you.
  2. Customized alerts. Does the oZone outage affect your access to D2L? Is a certain webpage down, or is it OUWIFI that’s experiencing issues? With customized alerts, you can view exactly which services are undergoing which maintenance procedures.
  3. Easy to read interface. It doesn’t take a tech expert to interpret the new page. With green, yellow, and red icons, it’s visually simple to detect which services are experiencing issues.
  4. Historical view. Can’t remember if D2L really was down this past weekend or if students just didn’t want to do that assignment? With historical view, you can quickly scan through past dates to verify outages on campus.

But don’t just take our word for it! Check it out yourself at alerts.ou.edu.
